me
I was born in Texas, raised in Mexico, and came up in California.
I’ve always been interested in people and their relationship to place; how migration shifts behavior.
I grew up as a border kid, moving between worlds.
I’m a geographer by training (SFSU); I have an interest in the urban environment, and abolition practices and thinking.
I explore creative mediums that excite, and bring me closer to people, feelings, the environment and myself.
I’m self-educated, and still learning in the fields of poetry, slowing down, plants, music performance, Marxism, semiotics, agave, photography, and other creative forms.
These pages are an attempt to articulate my thoughts into one place.
I’m currently enrolled at San Francisco State University in a master’s of Secondary Education program. I aim to teach ethnic studies curriculum in a public high school in San Francisco.
